1. Every Second Counts

Now over Later.
We focus and subtract to move fast. We do things that are high leverage and delete work that isn't.
Velocity is everything. Act now.

2. Anti-Midwit

Simple over Sophisticated.
Simple is hard. We create simple solutions to problems. Simple solutions reduce complexity, sophisticated solutions add it. Complexity is bad; we fear it.

3. Ownership

Ownership over Shared responsibility.
Ask three friends to water your plant while you are on vacation, and your plant is most likely going to die.
Each project, initiative, area has a clear DRI (Direct Responsible Individual) who is ultimately accountable for the success or failure. They are empowered to make decisions and take risks.

4. Hell Yes or No

Conviction over Compromise.
When making a decision - be it hiring, product, or business - someone needs to have conviction. A "hell yes" and three nos is better than four maybes.

5. Never Blocked

Agency over Complacency.
Waiting for permission leads to cost of delay. It's okay to occasionally step on people's toes. If solving a problem doesn't go against physical laws, we find a way.
Whenever you are blocked, ask yourself: "What would I do if I had 10x the agency?"
